CLASS ETIQUETTE & SAFETY
- Wear appropriate clothing – if a student owns a uniform/leotard it is expected to be worn to class
- Bring a water bottle with name on it
- Ensure all hair is off face and firmly secured, Acro students must have hair in a bun for safety reasons
- No jewellery – particularly bracelets, necklaces and dangly earrings
Now that most new member trials are finished, all classes except for the Kindy/Preschool classes will be closed. Parents/Carers are welcome to wait in the designated waiting area. Entry/Exit is now via the back door of the hall.
WAITING AREAS
Students are welcome to utilise the waiting areas prior to and/or after their class/es, however, they will not be fully supervised.
Please remind your student that:
- They are not to leave the studio/hall until their parent/carer has come in to collect them, no unsupervised playing outside the studio/hall
- If they wish to use an external bathroom they must let the teacher know prior to leaving the studio/hall.
- Also ensure your student is aware that the waiting area is not a playground, they may socialise quietly but are required to be respectful of equipment and other students, both in the waiting area and in the nearby class.
- Students are not to use their mobile phones/tablets other than to contact parents or play a quiet game/listen to music via headphones – no social media, photos or videos permitted. Teachers do have a ‘phone jail’ and will utilise it if necessary until a parent/carer is available to collect the device.
- Students may utilise the kitchen area to store and prepare food but must be able to clean up after themselves.
- Students may consume food in the waiting area but must use the rubbish bins provided and clean up or at least ask for help to clean up any mess/spills.
